Filming Sardinia Rally and Tries X Triathlon and MTB

Some locations test you. Sardinia doesn't just test you — it transforms you.

I've had the privilege of following the trail of international triathlon and mountain bike competitions

across this island, and every time, I'm reminded that this isn't just a sporting event. It's a pilgrimage.

A Landscape That Demands Respect

When people think of Sardinia, they think of pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters. And yes, the

coastline is breathtaking. But venture inland, and you discover a completely different world.

Dense forests. Ancient mountains. Trails that wind through terrain so raw and untouched, it feels

like stepping back in time. This is where the real magic happens — and where athletes from around

the world come to prove themselves.

Because Sardinia offers something rare: beauty and brutality in equal measure.

Athletes Who Speak Nature's Language

The competitors who travel here every year aren't just athletes. They're nature lovers. Adventurers.

People who understand that true endurance isn't just physical — it's mental, emotional, spiritual.

Watching them push through kilometers of unforgiving trails, dive into the Mediterranean, and

emerge on the other side with nothing but grit and determination — that's when you realize what

drives them.

It's not just about winning. It's about connection. With the land. With themselves. With something

bigger than the race itself.

Filming the Journey, Not Just the Finish Line

Following these competitions isn't easy. The terrain doesn't care about your equipment. The weather

doesn't wait for perfect light. And the athletes certainly don't slow down for a better shot.

But that's exactly why it's so rewarding.

Every frame captured in Sardinia tells a story: the sweat on a rider's face as they climb a mountain

pass, the spray of seawater as they transition from swim to bike, the way the light filters through the

trees on a forest trail that feels impossibly remote.

This is storytelling at its rawest. No controlled environments. No second takes. Just pure, unfiltered

effort against one of the most stunning backdrops on earth.

Why Sardinia?

Athletes return year after year because Sardinia offers something you can't find anywhere else: a

perfect storm of challenge and beauty. The courses are unforgiving. The terrain is unpredictable. But the reward? The experience of racing

through landscapes that few people ever see up close.

From coastal routes where the sea stretches endlessly beside you, to mountain trails where every

pedal stroke feels like a battle with gravity itself — Sardinia pushes you to your limits and then

shows you something so beautiful, you forget how much it hurt.

A Meeting of Worlds

What strikes me most is the diversity. Athletes from every corner of the globe converge here, united

by a shared love of endurance sports and wild places.

Different languages. Different backgrounds. But when they're out on those trails, none of that

matters. It's just them, the bike, the mountain, and the island that refuses to make anything easy.

And I get to witness it all through the lens.

More Than Sport

Filming these events has taught me something important: the best stories aren't always found in

finish lines or podiums.

They're in the moments between — the quiet determination before a race starts, the camaraderie at

aid stations, the way an athlete pauses for just a second to take in the view before diving back into

the suffering.

Sardinia doesn't just host competitions. It becomes part of the story. A character in its own right.

The Island That Stays With You

Long after the races end and the athletes return home, Sardinia lingers.

In the memories. In the footage. In the realization that some places aren't just beautiful — they're

transformative.

And for those of us lucky enough to follow these incredible athletes through forests, mountains, and

coastlines that take your breath away, it's not just work.

It's a reminder of why we do what we do.

To capture moments that matter. To tell stories that inspire. To show the world that sometimes, the

most extraordinary experiences happen when nature, sport, and human determination collide.

Sardinia. Where beauty meets brutality. And where every frame tells a story worth telling.
